Wolfsburg director Klaus Allofs has admitted that Kevin de Bruyne is on the verge of completing a deal to join Manchester City.
The Belgian, who was left out of the Bundesliga side's match against Schalke this evening, has been linked
with a return to the Premier League throughout the transfer window.
After the 3-0 win, Allofs told reporters: "We will complete everything either tonight or tomorrow. De Bruyne is off to Manchester City.
"I explained at the presser [on Thursday] that we had begun talks. Those talks have progressed. Now only minor issues remain."
The Premier League side have reportedly mad a £58m bid for the former Chelsea midfielder.
