Valencia assistant manager Phil Neville has claimed that Anthony Martial would be "an excellent late addition to the Manchester United squad".
The 19-year-old is believed to be close to completing a £36m move from AS Monaco, with the attacker heading to Manchester to complete a medical.
Neville's Valencia side recently beat Monaco in a two-legged Champions League playoff and the former Man United defender has paid tribute to the teenager.
"I experienced Anthony Martial first hand when we played against Monaco recently. He played brilliantly and looks a top player. If he were to sign, he would be an excellent late addition to the Manchester United squad," Neville wrote on BreatheSport.
Martial, who joined Monaco from Lyon in 2013, scored 12 times in 46 games last season.
