Sheffield Wednesday are reportedly looking to make a bid for Watford frontman Matej Vydra before the close of the summer window.
Wednesday are thought to have recently failed with a £10m bid for Fulham striker Ross McCormack, and The Mirror has now suggested that Wednesday's owner Dejphon Chansiri has instead turned his sights towards Vydra.
The same report states that the Championship club have been told that Vydra is not needed at the Hornets, as Watford boss Quique Sanchez Flores is required to cut five foreign players before submitting his Premier League squad.
Vydra played an integral role in Watford's promotion last season, scoring 16 goals for the Hertfordshire-based club.
