Man United boss Louis van Gaal: 'Mixing youth and experience can bring success'

Manchester United's Dutch manager Louis van Gaal smiles ahead of the English Premier League football match between Manchester United and Newcastle United at Old Trafford in Manchester, north west England, on August 22, 2015
Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has expressed confidence that blending youth with experience will help the club win trophies.
The Red Devils have not won silverware since 2013 when they were crowned Premier League champions.
In Europe, the North-West outfit last won the Champions League in 2008, but Van Gaal is hoping that he can build a team capable of winning another final.
"I believe more in the mix, than players only from 27 to 34," the Daily Star quotes Van Gaal as saying. "You have to believe in the youth education.
"When you see Manchester United and how many young players we have and play, we are starting with Luke Shaw, Memphis Depay, Adnan Januzaj, then Jesse Lingard, Paddy McNair. They are all playing and sometimes they shall play more matches.
"It is also dependable what is happening in the transfer period, and we are starting to make a mixture, and it is important to make a mixture with young and older players."
Tonight, United head into the second leg of their Champions League qualifier against Club Brugge with a 3-1 lead.
