Alan Pardew glad Tottenham Hotspur did not bid for Yannick Bolasie

Crystal Palace's French-born Congolese midfielder Yannick Bolasie celebrates scoring their second goal during the English Premier League football match between Sunderland and Crystal Palace at the Stadium of Light in Sunderland, northeast England, on Apri

Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew has revealed that he was relieved Tottenham Hotspur did not attempt to sign Yannick Bolasie during the transfer window.
The 26-year-old was linked with the London club over the summer, with Pardew admitting that Bolasie should consider an offer from a bigger club, but a move never materialised.

Pardew told reporters that he expected a bid for the £25m-rated winger but is delighted that he stayed at Selhurst Park and has commended Bolasie's attitude since the close of the window.
The 54-year-old said: "I was listening to that song the other day, there's no thunder without rain. There was a lot of noise which suggests normally that something is coming along.
"But there was enough rain coming from Spurs to suggest they might make some sort of bid. But there wasn't.
"But you still need a good attitude from the player and I have to say that Yala [Bolasie] has had a tremendous appetite to play through all of that speculation."
Crystal Palace travel across the capital to face Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane on Sunday afternoon.
