Golfer Rory McIlroy has said that he is "not convinced" that Louis van Gaal should be Manchester United manager.
Van Gaal led United to fourth place last season, and has spent over £108m on players this summer.
"I think the new signings will be good in time, but I'm not convinced LVG is the right man to lead us," McIlroy told Sky Sports News.
"I don't know, it's a hard one. Everyone is dropping points, and it looks like City might run away with the league.
"At least we're back in Europe, so that's a good thing."
McIlroy was speaking after finishing tied-29th at the Deutsche Bank Championship.
