Queens Park Rangers striker Charlie Austin allegedly rejected a move to Crystal Palace on transfer deadline day.
The Hoops forward had the chance to return to the top flight with the Eagles, but has chosen to remain at Loftus Road until the end of the season, reports The Express.
QPR boss Chris Ramsey has lavished praise on Austin and his teammate Matty Phillips for remaining with the club following their relegation to the Championship, hailing their "integrity and loyalty".
He told the club's website: "I think QPR have helped put players like Charlie and Matty on the map, and it's great to see them acting with such integrity and loyalty.
"Obviously, from a professional point of view, you feel a little disappointed for them as all players want to play at the highest level possible, but they're in a great place here at QPR.
"They're at a great club, where I believe they can go on to be even better players than they currently are. They're improving all the time, and the pair of them are only going to get better."
Austin, who has also attracted interest from a host of other Premier League clubs and a firm bid from Leicester City, becomes a free agent at the end of the season.
